If a freelancer becomes unavailable and communication stops, the safest next step is to pause the contract while you assess what has already been delivered.

Recommended first step

  1. Pause the ongoing project so no new work is logged while the issue is being investigated.
  2. Contact customer support if you need help reviewing activity or contract status.

What happens to time already logged

Hours recorded before the project is paused remain part of the normal billing cycle.

No additional work should be performed while the project is on hold.

Restarting the work later

If communication is restored and both sides agree to continue, reactivate the contract and resume the project from the same contract view.
